What is the course?
Base Camp, our Church Planting Training weekend is a training event for those who would like to investigate whether they are called to lead a church plant. Here potential church planters will have the opportunity to rub shoulders with those who have gone before, to be encouraged by their stories and to learn valuable skills. Each delegate will go through an application process before coming on the weekend that will include references from the elders of their church.
Why do the course?
We have a vision to see hundreds of churches planted in this nation and leadership will be critical if we are to reach this goal. We are committed to raising up new church leaders who are passionate about winning others to Christ and growing vibrant, disciple making, multiplying churches.
Church planting is one of the most demanding leadership challenges you will ever face; therefore we want to properly assess and train potential leaders so they are equipped for the task. We have put in place a process to help you find out whether Church Planting Training is appropriate for you.How do I do the course?
The weekend itself, usually held in October, will provide an opportunity to think more deeply about what lies ahead & to reflect further on whether God is calling you to become a church planter. It will involve teaching on how to determine what God is saying, how to work out where you should go & what needs to be done before you get going.
